Jonathan does not believe a designer's only task is to deliver "pretty rooms." More than that, he thinks a space needs to surprise and reveal something about its inhabitants. “The design process can often be a challenge, as it requires constant collaboration,” says Jonathan.
When approaching a new project, Jonathan takes in everything from the environment to the architecture. "I find what's missing—where is the void?" If there is no synergy between the parts, he looks at what the expectations are that aren't being met. He complements each project by finding what needs to be brought in to enhance it.
